hmmm . . . is that Patience, or Fortitude ?
Originally named Leo Astor and Leo Lenox after the founders of the NYPL, Mayor Fiorello LaGuardia named them Patience and Fortitude in the 1930's Depression era. Patience is to the south, and Fortitude to the north - as in the above photograph.
